Webinar Announcement:
This Sunday (tomorrow!), I'm hosting a live webinar on how to land your first AI consulting client in 90 days. I'll be walking through the exact system, the outreach strategy, and doing a live demo of Consultix, the platform that handles 85% of the process for you.
Register here before spots fill up.

I've now coached over 100 AI consultants. People from 12 to 15 different countries, speaking three or four different languages, coming from backgrounds in accounting, construction, recruiting, software, property management, real estate, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, finance, and more.
And after all of that, I can tell you with total conviction: the difference between the ones who win and the ones who quit has almost nothing to do with background, experience, or technical skill.
It comes down to one thing.
Action.
The One Thing That Separates Winners from Everyone Else
The people who are closing deals are the ones who trust the process and take aggressive, consistent action. Cold email, LinkedIn outreach, cold calling, door knocking, whatever channel they're using, they're doing it at a volume that most people would find uncomfortable.
Here's what I see constantly: people underestimate the volume it takes to be successful. They send 50 messages, get no response, and think the model doesn't work. But the reality is, the amount of outreach required to build a real pipeline is always significantly higher than people expect.
Yes, some people get lucky. We've had people close deals after one or two messages. But that's the exception, not the standard. The standard is consistent, high-volume outreach over weeks and months until the pipeline is full and the deals start flowing.
I have yet to see a single person who has consistently done outreach fail to close a deal. Not one.
The Patterns I See in People Who Succeed Fast
The consultants who get results fastest almost always have one thing in common: a warm network.
If you've had a career, worked with vendors, suppliers, or clients, or just built relationships over years in an industry, you have a goldmine sitting in your phone and your inbox. The people who reach out to their warm network first are the ones who close deals in days, not months.
Beyond that, the winners are the ones who understand what the world actually needs right now. Every business knows they need to adopt AI. They just don't know where to start. When you show up as the person who can diagnose their problems and show them the way forward, the conversation is easy.
The Patterns I See in People Who Struggle or Quit
They stop taking action.
It's that simple. I see it all the time. People come in fired up, start doing outreach, get some momentum, and then drop off. Life gets in the way, they get distracted, or they just lose confidence. Then they come back a few weeks later, try again, and the cycle repeats.
The only way you fail at this is by quitting. Consistent action, even imperfect action, always leads to results. The fluctuation in dedication is the single biggest killer of momentum I see.
The Most Surprising Things I've Learned
A few things have genuinely surprised me after coaching 100+ consultants.
First, this works everywhere. We've seen people close deals in 12 to 15 different countries, in three or four different languages. Most offers are very market-specific. This one isn't. The need for AI consulting is universal.
Second, the diversity of backgrounds is incredible. Accountants, recruiters, construction workers, software developers, property managers, logistics professionals, finance experts, they're all having success with this model. Your background doesn't matter as much as your willingness to show up and do the work.
Third, newer consultants are closing deals faster than I expected. The market is so receptive to this offer that even people who are brand new to consulting are getting in, getting started, and breaking through their limiting beliefs faster than I've ever seen.
The Non-Negotiable Daily Habits of Every Successful Consultant
After watching 100+ people go through this process, here are the three habits that every successful consultant has in common:
1. Two hours of prospecting every day.
No exceptions. LinkedIn outreach, cold email, cold calling, networking, whatever your channel, you're doing it every single day. This is non-negotiable.
2. Consistent learning and education.
Follow the system. Learn how to run successful AI strategy assessments. Understand the process, the frameworks, and the tools. The more you know, the more confident you become, and the more deals you close.
3. Use AI every single day.
I'm a big fan of Claude right now. Between Claude CoWork and Claude Code, one provider can handle almost everything. Start using AI in your own business before you start selling it to others. It builds confidence, saves time, and gives you real-world experience to draw on in client conversations.
The Story That Says It All
Tanya is the perfect example of what's possible when you combine aggressive action with smart strategy.
She was working on closing a client in insurance, but they weren't that receptive to the audit offer. Instead of giving up, she reached out to me and asked for advice. I suggested doing a AI database reactivation for them on a performance fee basis.
She was going to offer a 10% split. I told her to ask for 50/50.
They agreed.
In just over a week of fully committing to this, cold calling, door knocking, emails, LinkedIn, she closed an audit and a 50% performance fee deal. And she'd just left her job that week. First week of full commitment, and she's already winning.
That's what happens when you take aggressive action, use the expertise around you, and trust the process.

What I Wish Every New Consultant Knew Before They Started
Two things.
First, the volume required to be successful is higher than you think. Don't come into this expecting to send 10 messages and get clients. Some people do, but most don't. Come in expecting to do a lot of outreach, stay consistent, and trust that the results will come.
Second, you already have more value than you realize. People know so little about AI that you don't need to know everything to be significantly more valuable than everyone else in the room. Your industry expertise, your network, and your willingness to show up are already enough to get started.
Consulting is a professional, respected industry. We are the new age of consultants. And the opportunity in front of us right now is unlike anything I've ever seen.
